Kid surfing the waves on boggie board in Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Is your idea of a wonderful weekend getaway a long walk on sandy beach with the faint sounds of a nearby amusement park offering a soundtrack to the moment?   Or maybe you think of shopping and eating well among a variety of outlets that offer a little bit of, well, everything?  Or maybe you picture yourself grabbing a boogie board and running into the surf on a hot summer day?  Whatever you picture, Old Orchard Beach has it all!  So what are you waiting for?  Come on down!

Restaurants and eateries are plentiful, nearby is Joseph's By the Sea, an upscale restaurant with a great ocean view and a classy but casual atmosphere.  JJ's Eatery, 'just around the corner' from us, serves up three meals p/day  and dinner offerings includes your favorite steaks and seafood! The Landmark Inn Restaurant, only 500 yards away, or the Dunegrass Golfclub's Fairway Restaurant, both offer fine dining alternatives and styles. If you prefer take-out, don't forget to pick up your delicious lobster roll at Bayley's Lobster Pound!

Special Events!

Old Orchard Beach offers an exciting list of Special Events , from 5k races, the Beach Olympics (a ME Special Olympics fundraiser), to the Annual Car show in September.  Many groups plan their excursions around the Beach, from hockey or soccer to baseball or basketball because there is so much to do between their competitions.  Night clubs, The Pier,  free weekly concerts in Town Square, and a walk to a candy lovers dream at Dickinson's Candy Factory are all wonderful summer activities to enjoy!

Annual Car Show In September

Well behaved Biker Guests Palace Playland, Maine's premier beachfront amusement park and New England's seaside amusement park is a sure-pleaser!  Funtown/Splashtown USA and Aquaboggon waterpark are both great ways to spend an afternoon with the family on rides and slides and a terrific way to cool off on those hot summer days (and the ice cream is great, too!).

The Beau Rivage is doing its part to go Green: conserving energy, converting to updated fluorescent bulbs, and using approved alternatives in day-to-day activities.  We ask guests to do their part, by respecting our NO SMOKING IN ROOMS POLICY, reuse towels whenever possible, and other energy saving techniques.  It is our world, after all, and we need to do everything we can to curtail global warming for the sake of our children and future generations!

The Beau Rivage will be hosting guests for its 26th year, and we still strive to provide guests with a "Home Away From Home" while vacationing in Old Orchard Beach.  We sincerely hope to see past guests returning to us from both the U.S. and from Canada, as well as new faces, in 2008!  Our English and French speaking staff will be looking forward to serving you with a smile!  If you are coming by Train, call us in advance and we’ll arrange to pick you up at the OOB station!
